Today marks the beginning of the 2023-24 school year for the Floyd County Schools.
Dr. Glenn White, Superintendent, says that he is excited about the arrival of this new school year.
Everyone is encouraged by Dr. White to be careful and be patient amid back-to-school traffic.
School administrators are not just concerned about traffic safety, they are also concerned about safety inside the schools.
Dr. White has a message for parents – thank you for allowing Floyd County Schools to teach your kids.
Dr. White was a guest on the July 31, 2023 edition of Good Morning, Rome on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM. The interview went live on Facebook and may be viewed on the WLAQ-Rome page.
This is also the first day of the 2023-24 school year for students at St. Mary’s School with an early dismissal; their first full day is Friday.
