Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley is currently preparing for the 3rd annual Drive One FORE! Habitat Golf Tournament. The event will be held Monday, October 2nd – World Habitat Day – at Meadow Lakes Golf Club in Cedartown. Proceeds will go towards the organization’s latest home build, the 60th overall and the second in Polk County, says Betsy Allgood, Executive Director.
Golfers, sponsors, and raffle items are sought at this time for the tournament.
Team entry is $300 for a four person team, which includes lunch. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available.
The local Habitat chapter additionally seeks some volunteers to assist with its current home build in Aragon. However, Habitat supporters that are not so handy with a hammer may opt instead to help the non-profit by swinging a golf club and participating in the tournament on World Habitat Day, enthuses Allgood.
