NEW LEADERS OF THE SALVATION ARMY OF ROME, GA GETTING ADJUSTED TO THEIR NEW COMMUNITY

The new leaders of The Salvation Army of Rome, GA are getting acclimated to their new community and serving the people of Floyd, Chattooga, and Polk Counties.

Majors Hank and Eunice Harwell arrived here in late June as the successors to Captains Tim and Paula Blevins.

Major Hank Harwell enthuses that he is already impressed with the beauty of this area and the warmth of its people.

The Harwells are already thinking about the holiday season. Volunteers are sought to ring bells for the annual Red Kettle campaign, which will kick off just before Thanksgiving and conclude right before Christmas. Major Hank says that the money is needed to fund Salvation Army operations throughout the year.

Those interested in volunteer opportunities should contact Major Harwell by phone at (706) 291-4745 or visit The Salvation Army of Rome, GA at 317 E. 1st Avenue.

The non-profit will benefit from a concert slated for this Saturday evening at the Rome City Auditorium featuring The Collingsworth Family. Tickets are $30 for General Admission and $45 for Artists Circle. They can be purchased at iTickets.com or via phone.
