WORK AT ATRIUM HEALTH FLOYD TEMPORARILY LIMITS HOSPITAL PARKING SPACES

(Media release from Atrium Health Floyd):

Patients and visitors driving to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center should plan on arriving earlier than scheduled on Monday because of work that will limit the number of available parking spaces at the hospital.

On Monday, work crews will begin removing the mobile medical units in front of the hospital that were used to treat COVID-19 patients during the pandemic. That work will reduce parking availability on the hospital campus, which also includes the 330 Physicians Center.

It is not certain how long that work will take. Signs will be placed to provide additional parking guidance.

Also, parking at the Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center Emergency Care Center (ECC) will be reduced Saturday through Tuesday as crews prepare for the widening of North Second Avenue at the intersection of Turner McCall Boulevard.

Atrium Health Floyd has a long history of keeping parking spaces closest to facilities open for patients and their families. As a result, teammates are being asked to park in certain areas so that the public has access to more convenient parking spots.

Shuttles will be available to take patients, visitors and teammates from their vehicles to the main entrance of the hospital and the 330 Physicians Center. Anyone needing a shuttle can contact Atrium Health Floyd security at 706-509-5150.
