FIDDLIN’ FEST TO TRANSFORM DOWNTOWN ROME INTO A GIANT STREET FESTIVAL FEATURING BLUEGRASS MUSIC AND FAMILY FUN THIS SATURDAY

The 8th Annual Fiddlin’ Fest Between the Rivers will be held this Saturday, October 14, 2023 from Noon to 6 p.m.

This year’s Fiddlin’ Fest will host 130 vendors and food trucks. The street festival in Downtown Rome will feature live bluegrass music, a multitude of craft vendors, clothing vendors, Armuchee Ruritan Club Car show, pony rides, boat rides, food vendors and kids activities.

The event is free thanks to the generous support of sponsors of Hampton Inn and Downtown Rome businesses and property owners (BID).
Over 110 arts and crafts vendors will be in the Vendor Village located in the 200 block of Broad Street. Shop an assortment of hand-crafted items including paintings, home decor, tie-dye, jewelry, pottery, clothing, door hangers, wreaths, and woodworking.
Regional and local bluegrass bands will perform at the stages that bookend the street-long festival with the South Stage in the 100 Block (Cotton Block) of Strong North Winds, Wade Forrester, Grizzly Goat, and Fast Track. The North stage lineup in the 400 Block will consist of Wilson Banjo Co, Reverend Hylton, Jessee and the Boys, and The Arcadian Wild. The Cotton Block will feature $5 pony rides.
Cars on Broad car show will feature cars from every decade including pre-1950, street rod, original, rat rod, trucks and more. The Armuchee Ruritan Club who is presenting the show will judge and offer “Best of” awards in several categories. For more information on the car show, visit ArmucheeRuritan.orgCar Show
This year the Sulzbacher Roman Holiday Riverboat will offer Fiddlin’ on the River cruises. The cruises will feature artists Grizzly Goat and Jessee and the Boys. Tickets can be purchased on Freshtix.com
Downtown shops will feature sidewalk sales and restaurants will offer food and drinks for sale. Everyone is invited to shop, dine, and enjoy all that downtown has to offer.
The Office of Downtown Development would like to thank Hampton Inn, the Business Improvement District, partners and volunteers for their support to make this event the biggest Fiddlin’ Fest to date!
To help downtown residents, employees, customers and visitors plan accordingly, please note that Broad Street closes to traffic Saturday morning at 7 am for set-up and will reopen by 8 pm. The street closures will take place in the 100, 200, 300, and 400 blocks of Broad Street, while 2nd Avenue will remain open.
Public parking is conveniently located all around the festival.
