Two leading health providers in Rome have joined forces to improve access to high-quality health care in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. Atrium Health Floyd and Northwest Georgia Medical Clinic finalized an agreement to combine, bringing Northwest Georgia Medical Clinic under the Atrium Health care delivery brand.
“This is a great day for both our organizations as we come together as one,” said Kurt Stuenkel, president of Atrium Health Floyd. “The team at Northwest Georgia Medical Clinic is known for its medical expertise and is highly respected in our community. Having these physicians, providers and support staff as part of our organization will improve the ability of Atrium Health Floyd and Northwest Georgia Medical Clinic to provide excellent and accessible health care in our community.

Founded in 1942, Atrium Health Floyd employs more than 3,700 teammates who provide care to families throughout northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. Established in 1976, Northwest Georgia Medical Clinic offers obstetrical, gynecological and family medicine services.
