TRICK-OR-TREAT! HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES ABOUND IN ROME

It’s Halloween! Families will have plenty of opportunities to safely enjoy trick or treating and other festivities around Rome today.

Downtown Trick-or-Treat will be hosted by Rome’s Downtown Development Authority from 3 pm until 5 pm. Area businesses will hand out candy to kids ages 12 and under.

Public safety and community partners will host Treats Not Streets from 3 pm until 5:30 pm at the Rome-Floyd County Law Enforcement Center, located at 5 Government Plaza in downtown Rome. That event will be highlighted by a

kids costume contest at 4 pm.

Families may also head to Ridge Ferry Park for the 2023 Truck or Treat to be hosted by Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation from 3 pm until 6 pm.

The event, sponsored by Coca-Cola, will feature (of course) candy, costume contests, music, and an inflatable. Jim Alred, Recreation Services Manager, enthuses that attendees will have a chance to learn about the ice skating rink that will open at Ridge Ferry on Thanksgiving.

Alred adds that parks and rec has boxes full of candy to distribute to kids at Truck or Treat.

The Rome Professional Baseball Club will hold their second annual Trick-or-Treat Around The Bases this evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at AdventHealth Stadium. Admission is free.
