The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center will host their final Electronics Collection Event for ’23 on Saturday, November 18th. Items will be collected from 9 am to 1 pm at the center, located at 412 Lavender Drive in West Rome.
Emma Wells, Director of Solid Waste for Floyd County, says that collection events usually take place on the second Saturday of every other month, but the November event was moved to the third Saturday due to the observance of Veterans Day this Saturday, November 11th. She adds that only electronics will be collected this time; household hazardous waste will not be collected again until 2024.
Electronics typically collected include computers, televisions, recorders, and most any peripheral type equipment like printers and keyboards.
Appointments are required and may be scheduled via the SignUpGenius link at www.floydcountyga.gov or by calling the center at (706) 291-5266.
The event is intended for residents of Rome/Floyd County only. Make sure to have proof of residency (vehicle tag, license, utility bill, etc.).
