ROME NOON OPTIMIST CLUB TO ‘FLIP FOR YOUTH’ AT 63RD ANNUAL PANCAKE BREAKFAST ON NOVEMBER 18TH

The Rome Noon Optimist Club will again be ‘Flipping for Youth’ at their 63rd annual Pancake Breakfast slated for Saturday, November 18th from 6 am until 11 am at the Rome Civic Center.

Mike Elliott, president-elect, attests that this is the club’s major fundraising event of the year. Proceeds will support youth related projects in Rome and Floyd County.

Scott Moody, past president, says that many community members consider the breakfast to be the unofficial kick-off to the holiday season, as it always takes place on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Tickets may be purchased in advance for $8 each from any club member and at the Rome Welcome Center (the caboose in front of the Rome Civic Center) or for $9 at the door on the day of the breakfast. Sausage may be purchased in one pound packets for $6.

Dine-in, take-out, and drive-thru options will be available to event attendees, says Moody.

The club marks its 75th year of providing continuous service to the youth of Rome and Floyd County.
