GIVE THE GIFT OF THE OUTDOORS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON FROM GEORGIA STATE PARKS AND HISTORIC SITES

This is a time of year that some people are getting a head start on Christmas shopping. Here is a suggestion for holiday shoppers – give the gift of the outdoors from Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites. Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator, enthuses that options include gift cards, annual passes, Georgia State Parks Passports, and more.

Hatcher additionally recommends the purchase of Club memberships, like Tails on Trails for dog lovers.

A host of holiday events will take place at parks and historic sites around the state in the coming weeks. First Day Hikes will be hosted by some parks on New Year’s Day to begin 2024. Visit www.gastateparks.org to check out the event calendar.

Hatcher also encourages Georgians to get outside and enjoy this year’s Fall colors before they are gone. For updates on Fall color, check out Leaf Watch 2023 on the Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites’ website.
