Jan Fergerson has been chosen as Grand Marshal of the ’23 Rome Christmas Parade, as announced by the parade committee during its annual breakfast on Tuesday morning.
As a part owner of Ford, Gittings & Kane Jewelers, Jan Fergerson celebrates her 50th year as a merchant on Broad Street this year. She is described by the parade committee as a rare ‘gem’ in Rome and Floyd County. Janet Byington, committee co-chair, says that Fergerson has given back to the community for many years.
This year’s Rome Christmas Parade is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, November 28th. The theme is is “CHRISTmas – It’s a Wonderful Life”. For more information, visit www.romechristmasparade.com.
