ROME-FLOYD CHAMBER UNVEILS WORKROMEFLOYD.COM

(Media release from the Rome-Floyd Chamber):

The Rome Floyd Chamber is thrilled to unveil WorkRomeFloyd.com, a new workforce website made possible by a partnership with Georgia Power. This new website is designed with the entire community in mind and provides resources that are catered to job seekers, employers, students and parents.

“The amount of people who reach out to us in need of resources and a one stop shop for all things workforce led us to create a workforce website that could help our community grow and prosper,” said Pam Powers-Smith. “Workforce has become a major issue in our country and in our own community, and we are working hard to help bridge the gaps for our businesses and community members.”

WorkRomeFloyd.com offers a variety of resources for job seekers by providing access to resume building assistance, a direct link to the Chamber’s Job Page and much more. The website also provides support to the employers in Rome and Floyd County by listing key links for both small business and manufacturers.

There is also a focus on the future of the workforce with a section dedicated to students and parents. This area of the website gives parents and students the opportunity to learn more about work-based learning, internships for students during their high school years and important links for students to help prepare for the workforce after high school.

“We are excited to partner with the Chamber on this important initiative,” said Tony Ferguson, Northwest Regional Director at Georgia Power. “We at Georgia Power are excited to see the positive impact the new workforce website has on the Rome and Floyd Community.”

WorkRomeFloyd.com is an addition to the workforce programs that the Rome Floyd Chamber has been working on with the help of the chamber’s Director of Workforce, Alex Williams. If a business needs any one-on-one assistance or has any questions, Alex is a resource for all our Chambers members, no matter the size of the business. Please reach out to him at [email protected] or at 706-291-7663.
