The 2024 session of the Georgia General Assembly got underway this week with a flurry of activity at the State Capitol in Atlanta.
Katie Dempsey of Rome, Representative for the 13th District in the Georgia House of Representatives, says that legislative priorities for this year include early childhood education, public safety, mental health, and a balanced state budget.
