Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites encourage the public to Explore More in 2024.
Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator, attests that it is good to get outside. Parks and historic sites across the state offer Georgians the opportunity to get outdoors more, get some exercise, and/or get some much-needed relaxation by ‘Forest Bathing’.
Be sure to remain weather-aware if you plan to spend some time in the great outdoors this week and/or weekend. Warmer temperatures are predicted by the National Weather Service into this weekend; however, there will also be chances for showers and thunderstorms.
Goal-oriented individuals in need of extra motivation to Explore More in 2024 are urged by Hatcher to join a Georgia State Parks Club, like Canyon Climbers, Muddy Spokes, Park Paddlers, or the Tails on Trails Dog-Walking Club.
