NORTHWEST GEORGIA HUNGER MINISTRIES SEEKS PARTNERS IN ITS FIGHT AGAINST FOOD INSECURITY

Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries requests financial contributions and helping hands from around the community to support its mission to feed the hungry.

The area non-profit serves Floyd, Polk, and Chattooga Counties with its food pantry that is located at 90 East Callahan Street in Rome. It also provides for the nutritional needs of students throughout every weekend via the Backpack Buddies program.

Lindsey Kilby, Executive Director, says that partners are sought in the fight against food insecurity.

Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries offers food and support to those who have fallen on hard times, according to Kilby, who adds that the organization also partners with Cancer Navigators to provide nourishment to local cancer patients.

Kilby says that concerned individuals may get additional information about volunteer opportunities and/or make a donation in person at the pantry or on the organization’s website at www.hungerministries.org.
