LOCALS INVITED TO CELEBRATE ARBOR DAY 2024 THIS FRIDAY AT THE MOUNT BERRY TRAIL HEAD

The City of Rome, GA invites locals to celebrate Arbor Day 2024 this Friday, February 16th.

Hannah Bagley, Director of Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful, says that this year’s festivities will be held at the Mount Berry Trail Head off Coligni Way behind the post office on Martha Berry Boulevard. This celebration of trees will get underway at 1 pm.

Attendees will be given free tree seedlings, courtesy of the Georgia Forestry Commission and Georgia Power, according to Bagley.

Sugar maples have already been installed along the Mount Berry Trail Head, states Bagley, who adds that Georgia celebrates Arbor Day during the month of February because it is the best time of year to plant a tree in this state.
