ROME CLOCKTOWER PUBLIC TOURS RETURN APRIL 6TH

(Media release from the Rome Area History Center):

The Rome Area History Center will host public tours of the Rome Clocktower beginning Saturday, April 6. Tours will be held the first Saturday of the following months: April, May, June, September and October.

Visitors can view murals that depict the history of Rome from it’s founding through present-day at the interior base of the tower. To get the best views and the best selfies, climb the 107 stairs to the top for an expansive, 360 degree panorama of Georgia’s Rome.

Tickets are available in 30-minute time slots between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets are required for entry; cost is $10 per person and must be reserved in advance. Proceeds from all public and private tours benefit the Rome Clocktower Restoration Fund. Purchase tickets online at: RomeGeorgia.org/ClocktourTour
The ticket service provider charges a ticket fee for tickets purchased online. To avoid ticket fees, tickets may be purchased in-person at both Georgia’s Rome Welcome Center and Gift Shop locations on Jackson Hill at 402 Civic Center Drive and in Downtown Rome at 303 Broad Street.
There is a limit of 20 people at the top of the clocktower at a time. Please arrive on time; tickets are valid during the time block reserved. For questions, call the Rome Area History Center at 706-235-8051.
