FLAGELLO NAMED ARMUCHEE HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Floyd County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Glenn White, has named Ashley Flagello assistant principal at Armuchee High School.

“I am so excited and honored for this opportunity to serve in this role at Armuchee High School,” said Flagello. “I am a graduate of Armuchee High School and have spent my entire career at Armuchee High School, so this opportunity is truly a special one. Being able to lead and serve at the place that molded me and led me to where I am today is a dream come true. Thank you to Mr. Pethel, Dr. White, and our board for believing in me and allowing me to pursue this opportunity.”

Flagello, a product of AHS and a true representation of “Always Armuchee,” has worked her entire teaching career at Armuchee High School, serving in multiple capacities.

Since being hired in 2000, Mrs. Flagello has served as the PBIS coach, the National Honor Society Advisor, the school public relations liaison, and in various courses, such as, Zoology and Forensics. Flagello is also Gifted and AP certified.

Additionally, Flagello coached cheerleading at AHS for 16 years, claiming a state championship in 2014 with 10 top-eight state finishes.  

Upon graduating from AHS, Mrs. Flagello obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Berry College. Later on, she added a Masters of Education in Educational Technology from Lesley University and a Tier 1 Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia to her resume. 

Ashley and her husband, Cliff reside in Armuchee, and they have two daughters, Evey and Charleigh.
