HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – COOSA VALLEY SEEKS VOLUNTEERS TO WORK THE CONCESSION STANDS AT ROME EMPERORS HOME GAMES

Baseball will be back at AdventHealth Stadium this Friday evening as the Rome Emperors open the 2024 season as hosts to the Hickory Crawdads, and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley will be back at work in the concession stands.

Betsy Allgood, Executive Director, says that Habitat will work both the home and visitors concession stands at every Rome Emperors home game this year. Help is needed from additional volunteers.

Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older. Their tasks will include running a register (by card only), getting drinks, handing out food, and taking orders. Cooks are provided.

Interested parties may visit www.habitatcoosavalley.org/volunteer or contact the organization via phone at (706) 378-0030 to sign up as a volunteer.

Habitat will receive 15 % of revenues from the concession stands this season, according to Allgood, who adds that the local non-profit is thankful for their partnership with the Rome Emperors.

Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a host of festivities throughout 2024. For a list of upcoming events, check out the organization’s Facebook page.
