FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER LAUNCHES INAUGURAL GIVING DAY

(Media release from the Exchange Club Family Resource Center):

The Family Resource Center announces its Inaugural “Giving Day” on April 25th. Donors can pledge or contribute to support the child abuse prevention programs of the agency. All donors will receive a limited-edition sticker created by Berry College Bonner Program volunteers.

According to Chase Tolbert, Chair of the 2024 Annual Campaign: “April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the perfect time for donors to renew their commitment to the delivery of high-quality parent education services to families in our community. As a Board member, I hear first-hand the impact our strengths-based family support services have and these services are instrumental to reducing risk to children.”

Founded in 1991, the Family Resource Center provides free home visitation services to families with children 12 years and under. “Our Parent Aides meet with parents or relative caregivers each week for 1-2 hours for up to a year.   We meet with families in their home and deliver a high level of personal service to specifically address the challenges that place children at risk.  It is that level of service that makes our program unique.”, says Executive Director Tina Bartleson.
