ATLANTA BRAVES PICK UP SECOND STRAIGHT SHUTOUT WIN OVER CHICAGO CUBS

The Atlanta Braves blanked the Chicago Cubs by 7-0 on Tuesday night in the middle meeting of a three-game series at Truist Park. It was Atlanta’s second shutout win in a row over Chicago.

Matt Olson got the home team on the board with an RBI double in the bottom of the first inning. The Braves scored six runs in the fourth. Michael Harris II got it started with a home run to lead off the inning. Orlando Arcia scored on a wild pitch a few batters later, and Marcell Ozuna drove in another run with a sac fly. Olson added the icing on the cake with a three-run homer.

Chris Sale was Atlanta’s winning pitcher. He gave up just two hits, walked none, and struck out nine over seven scoreless innings. Jameson Taillon was charged with the loss for Chicago.
