ROME EMPERORS OPEN SET IN ASHEVILLE, NC WITH VICTORY OVER THE TOURISTS

The Rome Emperors opened up a seven-game series in Asheville, NC with an 11-1 victory over the Tourists on Tuesday afternoon. The Emperors assumed an early lead with five runs during the top of the first inning and never looked back. They will face the Tourists again this evening at 6:35 pm.

The Emperors lead the South Atlantic League’s South Division with a record of 18-14 so far in 2024. They will secure an early playoff spot if they remain atop the division when the first half of the season wraps up in late June, states Justin Franklin, the team’s Marketing and Media Relations Coordinator.

Rome’s current series at Asheville, NC will continue through Sunday and will include a double header on Thursday to make up for a game that was rained out early in the season.

The Emperors will return to their home field at AdventHealth Stadium next Tuesday night to begin a six-game series versus the Wilmington Blue Rocks. For tickets and information, visit www.goemperors.com.
