Live music is on tap for this weekend in Rome, Georgia!
The 2024 First Friday concert series will get underway this Friday, June 7th. Showtime is slated for 7 pm on the Town Green in downtown Rome. Donny Hammonds will be the opening act, and Brother Mojo will be the headliner. Follow Rome’s Downtown Development Authority at Downtown Rome, GA on social media for event details and updates.
First Friday concerts will continue on the first Friday of each month through September.
The Rome Symphony Orchestra will team with professional acrobatic artists
to present “Swingin’ Circus” at Georgia Highlands College over the weekend. There will be a pair of outdoor performances: Saturday, June 8th at 6 pm and Sunday, June 9th at 4 pm.
Jeffrey Dokken, RSO Conductor, enthuses that “Swingin’ Circus” will feature a mashup of swing and jazz music with incredible acrobatics.

Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and/or blankets, in addition to a picnic meal. Food trucks will be on site.
