ROME HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE TO PRESENT ALICE BY HEART

Media release from Rome High School Theatre:

Rome High School Theatre proudly presents Alice by Heart, a poignant and imaginative musical that explores grief, love, and resilience through the lens of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The production will run from April 17-19 at the Rome High School Performing Arts Center, with performances on Thursday at 7 p.m., Friday at 7 p.m., and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Set in the depths of a London Tube station during World War II, Alice by Heart follows a young girl named Alice as she navigates the turmoil of war and personal loss. Escaping into the familiar world of her favorite book, Alice learns to confront the realities of love and grief while embracing the power of imagination. With a breathtaking score by Duncan Sheik and a compelling book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson, this musical offers a fresh, heartfelt take on a beloved classic.

“We are thrilled to bring Alice by Heart to our stage,” says Alexis Tyson, Director of Rome High School Theatre. “This show beautifully captures the power of storytelling to help us heal and find hope, even in the darkest times. Our cast and crew have poured their hearts into this production, and we can’t wait to share it with our community.”
