The Atlanta Braves beat the Colorado Rockies by 8-2 on Tuesday night in the second meeting of a three-game set at Coors Field in Denver, CO. It allowed Atlanta to secure a series win.
Michael Harris II clubbed a two-run double to get the Braves on the board in the top of the second inning. He drove in another run with an RBI groundout in the Braves’ three-run fourth, during which Nick Allen also clubbed a two-run single. Austin Riley contributed RBI doubles in the sixth and eighth.
AJ Smith-Shawver picked up the win for Atlanta after giving up just two runs and four hits, walking one, and striking out five in five and one-third innings of work. However, he left the game in the sixth after being hit on the elbow by a ball.

The Rome Emperors opened a 12-game homestand on Tuesday night with a shutout victory over the Hub City Spartanburgers by 5-0 in game one of a six game series at AdventHealth Stadium. The teams will meet again today in an early Education Day game at 11 am.
