ATLANTA BRAVES’ LATEST WINNING STREAK COMES TO AN END WITH WEDNESDAY NIGHT LOSS AT HOME TO CINCINNATI REDS

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Cincinnati Reds by 4-3 on Wednesday night in the third meeting of a four-game set at Truist Park. It brought Atlanta’s latest winning streak to an end at three consecutive games and allowed Cincinnati to snap a four-game losing skid.

The Reds scored the first run of the night on a home run by TJ Friedl to lead off the game. They notched another run during the first inning with an RBI groundout by Gavin Lux. Friedl homered again during the third, while Tyler Stephenson had an RBI single in the fourth. The Braves jumped on the board in the bottom of the fifth with a home run from Drake Baldwin. They added two more in the sixth on an RBI single by Matt Olson and a sac fly by Ozzie Albies.

Grant Holmes was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up four runs and seven hits, walking one, and striking out five through five and one-third innings. Brent Suter picked up the win, while Emilio Pagan got the save for Cincinnati.
