Announcement from Floyd County Emergency Management:
Rush Chapel Road will be closed during the day next week while crews make repairs ahead of a paving project that is soon to be announced.
Floyd County Public Works will close Rush Chapel Road beginning Monday May 12, 2025 through Thursday May 15, 2025 beginning at 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The public will be notified if there are delays and nighttime work is required. Detours will be Ga 140 (Adairsville Highway) and Calhoun Road.
Three locations have been identified for repairs. The first will be on Rush Chapel Road near Calhoun Road at #1050, followed by #865 in the middle and concluding with #82 near Ga 140. The paving project will occur at another time.
