The Atlanta Braves fell to the Washington Nationals by 5-4 on Wednesday evening in game three of a four-game set at Truist Park. The Braves’ lead in the series now stands at 2-1.
The Nationals struck first with a run in the top of the first inning. The Braves struck back with two runs in the bottom of the third. Marcel Ozuna increased Atlanta’s lead to 4-1 with a two-run double during the fifth on his bobblehead night.
However, the Nats chipped away at that lead with two runs in the seventh and surged ahead with two runs in the eighth to include a tie-breaking RBI double by James Wood.
Enyel De Los Santos was charged with the loss for Atlanta. Jose Ferrer got the win and Kyle Finnegan picked up the save for DC.

The Rome Emperors lost to the Greensboro Grasshoppers by a final score of 10-9 on Wednesday in the second meeting of a six-game set at Greensboro, NC. The series is now tied at a game each. Game three is scheduled for this evening at 6:30 pm.
The Emperors’ set at Greensboro will continue through this Sunday. It will be followed by an off day on Monday, then a six game series in Spartanburg, SC versus the Hub City Spartanburgers next Tuesday through Sunday.
