A STORMY TUESDAY NIGHT FOR ROME AND NORTHWEST GEORGIA

Strong storms swept through Rome and Northwest Georgia on late Tuesday night, with heavy rain and even tornado warnings.

The National Weather Service reported .76 inches of rain at Rome’s Russell Regional Airport. Higher amounts were reported in parts of Floyd County by the Emergency Management Agency.
