THREE RIVERS SINGERS’ 25TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT SET FOR THIS THURSDAY NIGHT

The Three Rivers Singers’ 25th anniversary concert is slated for this Thursday evening at 7 pm at the Rome City Auditorium. They will be accompanied by acclaimed soprano Indra Thomas and the Rome High School Choir.

Attendees will enjoy a performance of “A Vision Unfolding”, a work by Kyle Pederson. Kam Malone, Conductor, states that it was chosen for this special occasion because he believes that its message of kindness and compassion is important.

A diverse array of community members will contribute choral readings to the performance, adds Virginia McChesney, President of the organization’s Board of Directors.

The poetry of Walt Whitman and Langston Hughes will be highlighted during the peformance, says McChesney.

There is no cost to attend the Three Rivers Singers’ 25th anniversary concert, though donations will be accepted. A silent auction will be held that evening as a fundraiser.
