ATLANTA BRAVES RAINED OUT IN DC VERSUS WASHINGTON NATIONALS, ROME EMPERORS DROP WEDNESDAY NIGHT MATCH IN SPARTANBURG, SC TO HUB CITY SPARTANBURGERS

The Atlanta Braves game versus the Washington Nationals which had been slated for Wednesday night has been postponed due to inclement weather in Washington DC. It will be made up as part of a day-night double header on Tuesday, September 16th.

The Braves will wrap up their current road trip with the series finale against the Nationals tonight at 6:45 pm. AJ Smith-Shawver will serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta. Trevor Williams will head to the mound for Washington. Tune into play-by-play coverage from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; airtime is 5:30 pm.

The Rome Emperors lost to the Hub City Spartanburgers by a final score of 3-2 on Wednesday night in game two of a six-game set in Spartanburg, SC. The series is now even at a game apiece. Rome is again tied with Bowling Green for the top spot in the South Atlantic League’s South Division with a record of 22-19. Hub City is right behind at 21-20. The Emperors will face the Spartanburgers again this evening at 6:35 pm.
