The Atlanta Braves game versus the Washington Nationals which had been slated for Wednesday night has been postponed due to inclement weather in Washington DC. It will be made up as part of a day-night double header on Tuesday, September 16th.
The Braves will wrap up their current road trip with the series finale against the Nationals tonight at 6:45 pm. AJ Smith-Shawver will serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta. The Rome Emperors lost to the Hub City Spartanburgers by a final score of 3-2 on Wednesday night in game two of a six-game set in Spartanburg, SC. The series is now even at a game apiece. Rome is again tied with Bowling Green for the top spot in the South Atlantic League’s South Division with a record of 22-19. Hub City is right behind at 21-20. The Emperors will face the Spartanburgers again this evening at 6:35 pm.
