Communities in Schools of Rome-Floyd County wholeheartedly joins local students, teachers, and parents in celebrating the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
Gregory Wooten, Executive Director, says that the non-profit organization is currently wrapping up reports on this school year’s activities and will soon be preparing for next school year.
Mentors and volunteers are now sought for the 2025-2026 school year, states Wooten, who adds that training will begin in late July to early August.
There is still time to participate in the 2025 CIS Ticket Fundraiser. Tickets are $20 each, and each offers an opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000. Second and third prizes are $500 each. Tickets are available through any CIS board member.
The proceeds from this fundraiser will support CIS programs and services, according to Wooten.
