ATLANTA BRAVES PICK UP ANOTHER WIN VERSUS NEW YORK METS, ROME EMPERORS OPEN HOMESTAND IN VICTORIOUS FASHION VERSUS GREENVILLE DRIVE

The Atlanta Braves defeated the New York Mets by 7-4 on Tuesday night in the second meeting of a four-game National League East series in New York.

Atlanta is now 5-0 versus New York this season.

The Mets scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on a sac fly by Jeff McNeil and two-run single by Brett Baty. The Braves surged ahead with five runs during the top of the sixth to include a sac fly by Ozzie Albies, RBI singles by Eli White and Nick Allen, and two-run single by Matt Olson. He and Austin Riley each had RBI doubles in the eighth. Ronny Mauricio had an RBI double for the Mets in the bottom of the ninth, but the Braves held on for the victory, again, by a final score of 7-4.

Spencer Strider picked up the win for Atlanta after giving up just three runs and two hits, walking four, and striking out eight through five innings. Raisel Iglesias got the save. Jose Castillo took the loss for New York.

The Braves improved to 37-41 on the 2025 regular season and remain in third place of the NL East. The second place Mets are 46-34. The teams will meet again this evening at 7:10 pm in New York. The Rome Emperors opened a six-game homestand with a 2-1 victory over the Greenville Drive on Tuesday night at AdventHealth Stadium. The teams will meet again tonight at 7 pm.
