WEEK OF BIG WINS FOR GEORGIA LOTTERY PLAYERS, INCLUDING ONE IN CEDARTOWN

Gainesville player is now a millionaire after winning $2 million in the June 20 Mega Millions drawing. The lucky ticket, purchased on the Georgia Lottery mobile app, matched all five white ball numbers and included a built-in 2X Megaplier, doubling the standard $1 million prize. The next Mega Millions drawing is set for June 24, with an estimated jackpot of $326 million.

A Max the Money scratcher also delivered a $5 million win to a Georgia Lottery player, purchased at The Country Store, 1206 Piedmont Highway in Cedartown. The winner claimed the prize on June 20 and selected the cash option, receiving $2,579,679.

In Decatur, a resident won the $1 million top prize playing the Xtreme Cash scratch-off game. The ticket was purchased at AAA Lucky Mart, 2605 Lawrenceville Highway, and claimed on June 18. Last week alone, Georgia Lottery players won $42,811,463 playing scratch-off games.

In the June 18 Powerball drawing, a lucky player won $50,000 with a ticket purchased at Duluth Food Mart, 3190 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Duluth. The ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball.

Georgia Lottery’s Diggi Games continued to pay out prizes, including a $30,000 win on Lucky Coins by a Guyton resident on June 19, and a $15,000 win on Dragons Palace of Fortunes by a Leary player on June 18.

Finally, two Georgia FIVE tickets each won $10,000 in the June 20 midday drawing. Both winning tickets were sold at New Hope Citgo, 880 New Hope Road in Lawrenceville.

As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions, scratch-off games, Powerball, Diggi Games and Georgia FIVE benefit education in the state of Georgia.
