Media release from Atrium Health Floyd:
Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic will sponsor the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation’s 2025 Independence Day Extravaganza on Friday, July 4, as music, food and fun usher in the annual fireworks show at Rome’s Ridge Ferry Park.
The park will open to the public at 4 p.m. with inflatables and face painting for the kids, and a variety of food trucks and concessions available. Wristbands for the inflatables will be $5. Later in the evening, park goers can listen and dance to Kevin Allen Music Productions live from the Coca-Cola stage.
The fireworks will be launched from the top of Jackson Hill beginning around 9:30 p.m. Zambelli Fireworks will light the sky with more than 1,500 fireworks of all types, colors and sizes.
“We look forward to this event every year, and we want everyone to come out to the park and enjoy a great day of food, fun, music and of course fireworks,” Todd Wofford, RFPRA Director says. “We also want to thank Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic for sponsoring this great event.”
Independence Day also marks the anniversary of Floyd Medical Center, which opened its doors on July 4, 1942.
