GEORGIA’S ROME OFFICE OF TOURISM AND THE FORUM RIVER CENTER ANNOUNCE SPECIAL PARKING AND FREE SHUTTLE PLAN FOR ACTION-PACKED FRIDAY NIGHT IN DOWNTOWN ROME

Media release from the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism:

In anticipation of large crowds expected this Friday night in Downtown Rome, the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism and The Forum River Center created a comprehensive parking and transportation plan — including free shuttles and designated public parking — to ensure visitors enjoy the evening’s festivities with ease and convenience.

A free shuttle service, provided by Roman Chariots and branded City of Rome shuttle bus, will begin circulating between designated parking areas starting at 5:00 p.m., with continuous service throughout the evening during peak activity hours. Visitors can also request on-demand pick-up by texting 706-413-2822 from any of the listed parking locations.

Downtown Rome, July 18, 2025, Friday Night Schedule of Events:

  • 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Clydesdales on Broad Street
    Don’t miss the majestic Clydesdales parading through Downtown! They’ll begin at the corner of E 5th Ave & Broad Street, travel to corner of E 2nd & Broad Street, and then return back up Broad Street, making delivery stops in both directions.
     
  • 5:00 PM | Free Shuttle Service begins to designated parking locations. Locations and addresses are listed below.
  • 6:00 PM | Forum River Center Doors Open – Three Dog Night & Little River Band Concert 
    Plan to arrive early and take advantage of free shuttles and parking!
  • 7:00 PM | Three Dog Night & Little River Band Concert
    A must-see concert at the Forum River Center — tickets are going fast!

Free Public Parking Locations:

  • 6th Avenue Parking Deck – West 1st Street (beside District Court Clerk)
  • 4th Avenue Parking Deck – 5 East 4th Avenue
  • Barron Stadium – 300 West 3rd Street
  • Rome-Floyd County Library – 205 Riverside Parkway
  • Atrium Health Floyd Corporate Headquarters – 420 East 2nd Avenue
  • Central Plaza – 500 East 2nd Avenue
  • East 1st Avenue Grass Lot – 410 East 1st Avenue (behind Atrium Health Floyd Corporate HQ, across the street)
  • Downtown Rome (Broad Street) – Free on-street parking after 5:00 p.m.

Free Shuttle Details:

  • Service Begins: 5:00 p.m.
  • Providers: City of Rome branded shuttle bus & Roman Chariots
  • Route: Continuous loop between all listed parking locations and downtown activity zones
  • On-Demand Pick-Up: Text 706-413-2822 from any listed lot for a free ride
