The Atlanta Braves beat the San Francisco Giants by 9-5 on Monday night in the opener of a three-game set at Truist Park.

Drake Baldwin led the charge with six RBIs to include a three-run double to get the Braves on the board in the bottom of the first. Nick Allen contributed a two-run single in that inning. Baldwin drove in two more runs with an RBI single in the fourth (thanks in part to a sprinting Ronald Acuna Jr). Ozzie Albies also had an RBI single during that inning. Baldwin tallied his sixth RBI of the night with a one-run double in the sixth.

Willy Adames hit a two-run homer in the fifth for the Giants, who also netted a pair of runs from Matt Chapman.

Bryce Elder was credited with the win for Atlanta after giving up three runs and eight hits, walking three, and striking out one over five innings. Hayden Birdsong took the loss for San Francisco.
