Communities in Schools of Rome-Floyd County currently seeks new mentors and volunteers for the 2025-2026 school year.
Gregory Wooten, Executive Director, asserts that training is offered to adults who want to make a difference in students’ lives as a mentor or volunteer.
Mentors serve as role models, motivators, and confidantes in one-on-one relationships with individual students, while the volunteers serve in a more general capacity, according to Wooten.
The mission of Communities in Schools of Rome-Floyd County, according to its website, is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. To get additional information, visit www.cisrome-floyd.org.
