WHITNEY GRIMES TREATING PATIENTS IN HER HOMETOWN OF PIEDMONT, AL

Media release from Atrium Health Floyd:

Whitney Grimes, FNP, is treating patients at Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee Medical Center Rural Health Clinic in Piedmont, Alabama – her hometown.

Grimes, who sees patients of all ages, said she was drawn to family medicine because it gives her the opportunity to provide care for a wide variety of people.

“I approach medicine as a holistic care. That means tending to the patient’s physical need, but also their mental health needs and well-being overall, whether that be spiritual, mental or physical,” Grimes said.

Grimes said she also finds it rewarding to provide women’s health services.

Grimes and her husband are both graduates of Piedmont High School. She received her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama.

“We go to church in Piedmont,” she added, so our lives are, you know, totally revolved around the Piedmont community, and we have had so much support and love from our community,” she added.
