ATLANTA BRAVES BLANKED BY SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS, ROME EMPERORS OPEN SERIES IN NEW YORK WITH LOSS TO HUDSON VALLEY RENEGADES ON TUESDAY NIGHT

The Atlanta Braves lost to the San Francisco Giants by 9-0 on Tuesday night in the second meeting of a three-game set at Truist Park. That evened up the series at a game a piece and allowed San Francisco to snap a six-game losing skid.

The Giants notched four runs in the second inning, another in the fifth, and four more in the seventh. Wilmer Flores had four RBIs to include a three-run homer.

Davis Daniel was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up five runs and seven hits, walking four, and striking out three over five innings. Landen Roupp picked up the win for San Francisco.

The Braves are now 44-56 on the 2025 regular season and remain in fourth place of the National League East. The Giants improved to 53-49 and remain in third place of the NL West. The Rome Emperors fell to the Hudson Valley Renegades by 4-3 on Tuesday evening in the opener of a six-game set in New York. Those teams will meet again this afternoon at 12:05 pm.

The Emperors’ series at Hudson Valley will continue through Sunday. They will have an off-day on Monday, then will return to action on their home field at AdventHealth Stadium in Rome as hosts to the Greensboro Grasshoppers next Tuesday, July 29th through Sunday, August 3rd.
