ATLANTA BRAVES BEGIN LONG ROAD TRIP WITH WEEKEND SET IN TEXAS VERSUS RANGERS, ROME EMPERORS’ ROAD TRIP CONTINUES THROUGH THE WEEKEND

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled off-day on Thursday and will open up a nine-game road trip tonight with the first of three games out in Arlington, TX versus the Texas Rangers. Joey Wentz will be the starting pitcher for Atlanta, while Nathan Eovaldi will head to the mound for Texas. The first pitch is set for 8:05 pm Eastern. Tune in for play-by-play from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; airtime is 6:50 pm.

The Braves enter this series with a record of 44-57 on the ’25 regular season and in fourth place of the National League East. The Rangers are 53-50 and in third place of the American League West.

This weekend series in Texas will be followed for the Braves by three games in Kansas City, MO with the Royals next Monday through Wednesday. After that, they will play three games against the Cincinnati Reds to include a pair in Cincinnati, OH next Thursday and Friday and the MLB Speedway Classic in Bristol, TN next Saturday, August 2nd.

The Rome Emperors fell to the Hudson Valley Renegades by a final score of 8-1 on Thursday night in the third meeting of a six-game set in New York. It allowed Hudson Valley to take a 2-1 lead in that series. The teams will meet again this evening at 7:05 pm.

The Emperors’ road series with the Renegades will continue through Sunday. They will take Monday off, then will be back in action on their home field at AdventHealth Stadium in Rome with a six-game set against the Greensboro Grasshoppers next Tuesday, July 29th through Sunday, August 3rd.
