The Atlanta Braves fell to the Texas Rangers by 8-1 on Sunday in the finale of a three-game set at Arlington, TX. That lead to a Rangers’ sweep of the series.
Sean Murphy drove in the Braves’ lone run of the outing with a ground rule double in the top of the second inning.
Bryce Elder was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up eight runs and six hits, walking four, and striking out three over just two and two-third innings. Jack Leiter picked up the win for Texas.

The Rome Emperors were defeated by the Hudson Valley Renegades by 6-3 on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a six-game set at Wappingers Falls, NY. That allowed the Renegades to take the series by 5-1.
