ATLANTA BRAVES DROP SECOND IN A ROW TO MILWAUKEE BREWERS AT TRUIST PARK, ROME EMPERORS OPEN ROAD TRIP WITH WIN OVER GREENVILLE DRIVE

The Atlanta Braves lost to the Milwaukee Brewers by a final score of 7-2 on Tuesday night in the second meeting of a three-game set at Truist Park. That paved the way for a 2-0 series lead for the Brewers, who have won their last five straight games and hold MLB’s best record at 69-44.

Milwaukee struck first with four runs during the top of the third inning. Eli White clubbed a solo home run that got Atlanta on the board in the bottom of the fourth. The Brewers scored another run during the sixth and two more in the seventh. White walked in another run for the Braves in the seventh.

Joey Wentz was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering five runs and seven hits, walking one, and striking out three through five and one-third innings. Freddy Peralta was credited with the win for Milwaukee.

In some good news from the Braves, first baseman Matt Olson has been honored by the MLB Players Alumni Association as the team’s 2025 Heart and Hustle Award winner.

The Rome Emperors beat the Greenville Drive by 4-3 on Tuesday evening in the opener of a seven-game set at Greenville, SC. The teams will meet again this evening at 6:45 pm.

The Emperors’ series at Greenville will continue through this Sunday and will include a double header this Thursday to make up a game that was postponed from late June.
