The 23rd annual Health Initiative for Men and Women is set for next Saturday, August 16th from 8 am to noon at the Floyd County Health Department, 16 E. 12th Street in Rome. There will be free health screenings, vendors, freebies, and educational opportunities. Mammograms may be scheduled in advance by calling (706) 509-6840 and selecting option 1.
The 100 Black Men of Rome-Northwest Georgia team up with the Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition and other community partners to present this event each year.
