The Atlanta Braves beat the New York Mets by 11-6 on Wednesday night in the second outing of a three-game National League East set in New York. It evened the series up at a game apiece.
The Mets scored three runs each in the bottom of the first and second innings; that included a two run homer by Juan Soto. The Braves notched nine runs in the top of the fourth; that included a three-run double by Jurickson Profar and a grand slam by Michael Harris II. Marcell Ozuna hit a two-run homer in the sixth.
Aaron Bummer was Atlanta’s winning pitcher. Reed Garrett took the loss for New York.
