The Atlanta Braves opened a six-game homestand with a loss to the Chicago White Sox by 13-9 on Monday night in the first meeting of a three-game set at Truist Park. That brought Atlanta’s longest winning streak of the year to an end at five in a row.
Jurickson Profar hit two home runs for the Braves to include a two-run shot in the bottom of the sixth inning and a three-run bomb during the eighth.
Michael Harris II also clubbed a two-run homer during the Braves’ four-run sixth.
Brooks Baldwin, Luis Robert Jr., Lenyn Sosa, and Kyle Teel all homered for the White Sox.
Spencer Strider was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering seven runs and 10 hits, walking one, and striking out two through just three innings of work. Yoendrys Gomez picked up the win for Chicago.

The Rome Emperors had a scheduled off-day on Monday and will begin a seven game set in Asheville, NC versus the Tourists this evening. First pitch is slated for 6:35 pm.
The Emperors’ road trip to Asheville will continue through Sunday and will include a double header on Thursday to make up a game that was postponed from mid-July. They will play their last homestand of the 2025 season next Tuesday through Sunday versus the Winston-Salem Dash at AdventHealth Stadium in Rome. Their season will finish on the road against the Hub City Spartanburgers during the first week of September.
