Announcement from Floyd County, GA Emergency Management:
Road work is expected to begin this week on Fosters Bend Road as Public Works replaces a cross drain. The road will not close, but traffic delays may occur as the road narrows in the area of construction.
Floyd County Public Works will begin work on Wednesday August 20, 2025 and may complete the project on Thursday at #1241.
Signs are being posted in the area to alert drivers of the construction. Local and emergency vehicle will be allowed to pass.
Fosters Bend Road is located in Coosa approximately a mile from the state line. It crosses Old River Road and has access to County Road 182 in Alabama.
