KICKBACK TO THE COMMUNITY IS BACK AT FORD, GITTINGS & KANE JEWELERS

Kickback is back! Kickback to the Community, an annual silent auction of fine jewelry to benefit local charities, has returned to Ford, Gittings & Kane Jewelers, 312 Broad Street in downtown Rome.

Bid cards are available for $10 apiece at the store and at participating 501(c)(3) organizations; the proceeds from the sales of bid cards will go directly to charities of the bidders’ choice.

Additionally, 10 percent of the purchase price of all items in the auction will benefit charities.

Kickback is intended to raise funds and awareness for local charities, states Jan Fergerson, FGK representative.

Auction items range in price from less than 100 to thousands of dollars, says Fergerson, who adds that the more money participants spend, the more their charities will benefit.

Bidding in this year’s auction will end promptly at 2 pm on Saturday, August 23rd. The starting bids are 50 percent off the regular price, and the buy-it-now price is 25 percent off.

Fergerson says that FGK is thankful for the support of its customers and this community of Kickback.
