Monday was a day of firsts for Berry College students as well as its newest president, Sandeep Mazumder.
Mazumder, who joined Berry in July, took part in helping students move onto campus last week.
Vice President of Enrollment Management Andrew Bressette noted this is the strongest class academically in the history of Berry. Additionally 24% of the new class is a first-generation college student.
“We are continuing our mission of providing access to a high-quality education,” said Vice President of Enrollment Management Andrew Bressette. “This is our second largest class (at 672) representing students from 34 states.”
New this year is Morgan-Bailey Hall which houses the nursing program, student residences and the new graduate Physician Associate program. The 36,000-square-feet of academic space includes simulation suites, skills and physical assessment labs, active learning classrooms as well as mock operating and exam rooms.
