Looking for a little leisure over Labor Day weekend? Many people will be, and that will lead to an uptick in visitors to Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites.
Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator, says that if reservations are full at the park of your choice for this holiday weekend, go ahead and plan now for next year.
To make reservations, check out a list of upcoming events, and more, visit the Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites website at www.gastateparks.org.
The arrival of the month of September will be followed by the arrival of Fall – and Fall colors. Hatcher encourages Georgians to stay tuned to the website for the launch of Leaf Watch 2025. This feature will offer insight into the top parks for Fall color and more.
Perhaps the trees will be (a little) tinged with color by September 27th. That is the date of “Your State Parks Day”, a celebration of National Public Lands Day. Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites will extend free admission to all volunteers on that day.
